丁の字 ちょうのじ chō no ji shape of the kanji 'chō' like this:丁 ;ref. 'chōji'
ちょく choku - prefix: direct choku-zuki
だい dai - prefix meaning big- dai sharin (sharin= wheel)
?@ dan step, level chūdan, dan-zuki
固め かため -gatame defence, fortifying  
げー ge - prefix: down, lower ge-dan
後ー ごー go - prefix: back  
ぎゃく gyaku - prefix: opposite gyaku-zuki
半。。 はん。。 han - prefix: half han tenkan
半月 はんげつ hangetsu half moon hangetsu gaeshi

千鳥 ちどり chidori plover chidori-gaeshi; chidori-ashi is a diagonal step, but here I reckon the word "chidori" was an intentional use of the bird name - see tsubame-gaeshi above.
